Sennelier Set of 80 Extra-Soft Half-Stick Pastels, Landscape

Product description SENNELIER À L'ÉCU PASTELS It took more than three years, at the turn of the 20th century, to formulate the Sennelier range of soft À L'Écu pastels, creating one of the widest color palettes available in pastels. This palette of shades has evolved over the course of the century, but the heart of its production remains unchanged. A Sennelier soft pastel is made from high-quality pure pigments, ground with a transparent natural binder. The high quality of À L'Écu pastels comes from a perfect balance between binder and pigment. For graduated shades, increasing quantities of mineral fillers are added, eventually tending toward white. Their exceptional brilliance comes from the pigment and natural mineral fillers discovered by Sennelier in 1905 and used ever since. The Sennelier cylindrical pastel manufacturing process does not compress the paste, and the pastel dries naturally in the open air. The lifespan of a work is ensured by the quality of the pastel, but also by the quality of the support. If applying substantial overlapping layers, it is best to fix between layers. However, avoid fixing the final layer too heavily, as this would diminish the original vibrancy of the colors. À L'ÉCU PASTELS À L'Écu pastels: 525 graduated shades close to white, available in 4 formats. Large pastels: 62 shades, comfortable to use and ideal for broad, even coverage.
