Product description

A haunting is afoot: can you put an end to it? Something isn’t right in an old villa. Paintings whose eyes follow you. Dolls sitting differently than they did yesterday. A lock that refuses to reveal its secret. Whoever solves the mystery of the ghost villa frees the house from its curse and discovers the surprise waiting inside the box. This puzzle box works differently from traditional escape room games: the gift box itself contains clues—images, symbols and letters that are part of the ghost villa’s story. Scan the QR code on top to enter the villa digitally, right on your smartphone. By combining the two worlds—what you see on the box and what the digital game shows you—you’ll find the three-digit combination that opens the padlock. Three puzzles, around 15 minutes of play, for one or two players. No app, no internet connection, no prior knowledge—just the box, a smartphone and the courage to engage with the ghost villa. The difficulty is designed so that even teenagers aged 14 and up can solve the puzzles, without leaving adults feeling out of their depth. The box comes gift-wrapped: tickets, vouchers, a key to a new car, a concert ticket—anything that fits inside a 10 × 10 × 10 cm compartment can be hidden inside. Instead of boring gift wrap, giving the present becomes an experience: first, the box has to be assembled, and then the gift is revealed. About LOCKED Adventures: since 2015, we’ve been building escape rooms in Bochum and Bremen—real rooms with real locks where players can step inside to solve puzzles. Our puzzle boxes bring that experience home in a gift-sized format. Alongside “Spuk in der Geistervilla,” our range also includes “Detectei B. Nicols” for crime fans, “The Treasure at the Mayan Temple” for adventure lovers, and “Happy Holidays” as a Christmas edition.
